Hello Hello….
How’s everybody doing? Working on some new stuff today. Check out www.threeleggedfoxlive.com if you haven’t yet. It’s a work in progress. But it’ll get there.
New material….interesting stuff. Definitely some patterns showing up. I think that as you get older, there becomes an increased awareness of everything. I liken it to zooming out like you would on a “Google Map” application or something just like it. When you’re young, you know your neighborhood, and the kids at your elementary school. Sometime later, you zoom out a bit, the bubble expands, understand where highways go, recognize roads further away that you’ve been on. Maybe come to understand nearby towns, not just your own. This happens continually as you get older, absorbing knowledge, making connections with people of all different races/ethnicities, watching the news, ‘zooming-out’. In today’s ‘mile a minute’ digital age, there is just so much friggin information at your fingertips at any given second. News is literally reported in real time. And as we are mid 20’s we went from the shelter of a college campus (around the time of IDEAS) to a more realistic existence, and thus understand that the stuff you read about is real. It effects us.
Anyway, that’s what some of the newer material has to do with. A bit less story telling, a bit more social conscious. A bit more of a desire to make people think a little bit. Oh and of course some songs about women. C’mon, we’re only human.
Talk to ya….

Hello Hello….
After our three day run of shows, we spent some time in our home studio this past weekend. We’re about 80% of the way through our writing process. This time around is much different, we get to take our time, and explore every single idea, regardless of how far out in left field it may be. Our “Not as Far” sessions back in 2008/2009 were on a much tighter schedule because our time in the studio was at a premium. Our producer at the time was so busy, that we had to push and push whenever we were there. This time around, we know a bit more about what we’re doing, how we want it to sound, and where it’s going. But as far as updates go, we’re getting there…steady progress. For us, it’s going to be worth the wait.
At this point, tentative release date: January/February 2011.
